The best part of making your own perfume is that it gives you the freedom to choose your own flowers. As long as you have the access to a garden or florists, you won’t be lacking fresh blossoms. But it’s time to know which one works in a best way.
When it comes to making your own perfume, choosing the garden flowers like Roses, Jasmine, Violets, Plumeria would be the best choice. The good thing about using those flowers are they are easily obtainable and very romantic. The other flowers you could consider are Lavender, Daisies, Lilies or Honeysuckle. It’s completely your decision.
Gather Your Materials:
It’s always recommended to gather about one and half cup of flower petals to make the perfume. You can use all one type or a mixture of several types or you can even use non floral elements like pine needles or fruits.
The things that you will need in this perfume making procedure are - 2 cups of distilled water, a stove and pan, a piece of cheesecloth and a container where you can store the entire finished product. Using a properly rinsed glass food jar would do fine in this case but if you want to make it look aesthetic, you can use decorative bottle that can be found in many stores.
It’s time to prepare:
Before you finally begin the process, make sure you wash the flower petals thoroughly to make sure there are no fertilizers, dirt or pests attached to it. Place the petals properly in the pan with the distilled water and bring the mixture to a boiling point. Turn the heat down and simmer the petals in the water for about two years. Ensure that nothing boils over and there’s still plenty of water in the pan. Give it a sufficient time to cool off and then strain the liquid through the cheesecloth so that you can remove all the solid bits.
Your perfume is finally prepared and ready to use. This perfume that you have prepared is purely organic as it doesn’t contain any kind of chemical compounds. Use it and get all the appreciation from the people around you.
